The Blind Leading the Blind to the Dole Queue

Once again the LibDem/SNP Edinburgh cooncil coalition is thinking the unthinkable.

With the proposed closure of the > Blindcraft workshops <, the cooncil is sending people handicapped by their lack of sight to the dole queue, where we sincerely hope that after the next local election, that they'll meet up with those whose lack of vision sent them there.

What with the closure of public toilets, once fortnightly bin emptying , and other wheezes like taxing carparking for all those with big cars, can we live with the Axis of Power eejits much longer?

Now some other idiot comes up with spending £100k on reducing speed limits an a lot of roads down to 20 mph. Er, with the greatest respect (not) most of these roads can only be driven at 20 mph or lower - due to speed bumps, (double) parked cars, pot holes, School restricted areas, etc..

And with the noble excuse of saving children from dying under speeding cars - how many children have actually been hurt in the past year, let alone died by a car in Edinburgh in the past year.

Yes, I do realise that even 1 death is one death too many but I would suspect that any death over the past 10 years has been due to circumstances beyond the 20 MPH restrictions proposed.
